The Professional Women’s Hockey League officially unveiled the home and away uniforms of its six franchises on Thursday.

The Boston Fleet, Minnesota Frost, Montreal Victoire, New York Sirens, Ottawa Charge and Toronto Scepters all showed off their new looks ahead of the 2024-25 season:

Last year marked the PWHL’s inaugural campaign, but the six teams had a rather simple look and presentation since there wasn’t enough time to get everything done properly.

By ESPN Greg Wyshynskithe teams had no logo or name, as they simply bore the name of the city in which they played.

The names and logos were finally revealed in September, and each team now has a unique uniform combination to go with it.

The PWHL was officially founded last year by the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association, the Mark Walter Group and BJK Enterprises, led by Los Angeles Dodgers owner Mark Walter and tennis legend Billie Jean King .

To get the league off the ground quickly, the PWHL purchased the assets of the former top-tier professional women’s hockey league within the Premier Hockey Federation, and by January 2023, the inaugural season was underway.

Led by playoff MVP Taylor Heise, as well as goalie combo Maddie Rooney and Nicole Hensley, Minnesota won the first PWHL championship by defeating Boston in the final.

Many of the best women’s hockey players in the world, particularly those from the United States and Canada, play in the PWHL, including Natalie Spooner, Sarah Nurse, Marie-Philip Poulin and Hilary Knight.

While the first season was widely hailed as a success with a attendance per match At 5,448, the pieces are in place for the PWHL to take another big step forward in the 2024-25 season.

Each team now having its own look and identity should significantly help the league’s branding, as it will be able to sell more jerseys and merchandise, and compel fans to truly support their teams.

The second season will officially begin later this month on November 30, with Boston taking on Toronto and Ottawa taking on Montreal.
