Razor-thin Senate race hangs in the balance in Nevada

Several crucial races in Nevada remain undecided as Clark County election officials are expected to provide an update Wednesday.

Among the closely watched contests is the Senate race between Sam Brown and Jacky Rosen.

The race is described as extremely close, with Brown currently leading Rosen.

“This isn’t about Sam Brown’s campaign. This is about you,” Brown said. “Our country will not be destroyed by people more loyal to DC than to us.”

Rosen expressed his determination, saying, “Together, we have reached Nevadans in every corner of our state. We are not giving up now. Not now. We are going to win this race.”

Locally, the Las Vegas mayoral race between Victoria Seaman and Shelly Berkley is also on hold. Berkley leads Seaman by about 12,000 votes.

“I’m excited. I’ve been thrilled with the support I’ve received from the community and you can tell from this party it was chaotic in a good way and I feel really good today and I can’t wait to return to government,” Berkley said.

Berkley added that his priorities include public safety, affordable housing, support for small businesses and increasing resources for the homeless.

Election officials are expected to announce the release of results later this afternoon.
