In an upcoming episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati, IPS Manoj Kumar, known for inspiring the story of 12th Fail, will appear alongside actor Vikrant Massey.

Vikrant Massey and IPS officer Dr Manoj Kumar are set to appear on Kaun Banega Crorepati, joining Amitabh Bachchan to promote Vikrant’s latest film The Sabarmati Report. During the episode, Vikrant revealed that despite his two-decade career in the industry, this was the first time he met the legendary actor. Manoj also shared personal memories of how the series played a role in his journey to becoming an IPS officer and the unique challenges of his profession.

Expressing his admiration for the show, Manoj recalled the impact of KBC on his preparation for the UPSC exams. He told Bachchan, “I never imagined that this show would be so beneficial for students preparing for UPSC. We used to stand at the pan shop or roadside eateries, waiting for 9 pm to prepare for UPSC through the show. There were times when we felt like our preparation was over. But as soon as you started asking questions, we realized that our preparation was far from sufficient. Until then, general culture was not really a priority in schools.”

Manoj continues, “What KBC has done is to make teachers and parents aware of the importance of general knowledge and the need to teach it to children. I consider myself very lucky to be sitting in front of you today!”

The episode also touched on the challenges of policing, as Manoj’s mother humorously mentioned to Bachchan that her son rarely came home for festivals. Responding to this, Manoj shared, “Sir, police cannot celebrate festivals. So far, I have not celebrated a single Diwali. Once you wear khakhee you have no religion or caste, you devote your whole life to the country as a police officer. » He added that police officers often work without fixed hours, sometimes for a whole day, or even three days in a row.

In the same episode, Vikrant reflected on the significance of his first meeting with Big B, saying, “Sitting in this hot seat and meeting you in person is a huge moment for me. I have been working in cinema for 12-13 years and I spent 8 years on television. In almost 20 years of career, this is the first time I have had the chance to meet you in person.”

Amitabh Bachchan responded warmly, “It feels like we have met many times before. Watching your performances, you feel like you’re one of us, like family.”
