Your guide to the weekend in Hong Kong: November 8-10, 5 of the best things to do, eat and see

Another week and another typhoon passes Hong Kong – although Yinxing probably won’t pose much of a threat. There’s a lot going on in the city this weekend and here are our top five recommendations.

1. India by the Bay 2024

The annual celebration of Indian arts, culture and heritage returns to the Asia Society Hong Kong Centre, Admiralty, from November 8-12.

Highlights of the ninth edition of the festival include a talk by bestselling writer and historian William Dalrymple, who has a new book on the history of Indian culture; Usha Uthup, India’s queen of pop who sings in 17 Indian and eight international languages; and a program that fuses Indian classical music with American jazz.

2. The Nike x Wu-Tang Clan slam dunk

Sneakerheads are in for a treat with the highly anticipated release of the Nike x Wu-Tang Clan Dunk, a collaboration that furthers Nike and Wu-Tang Clan’s long-standing influence on hip-hop culture.

The new Dunks will be black and pollen-colored and will feature the hip-hop group’s W logo embroidered on the tongue and outer heel.

The Nike x Wu-Tang Clan Dunk is available worldwide starting November 9 on Nike’s SNKRS app and at select retail locations.
