Alabama A&M reopens basketball court with campus improvement grant

HUNTSVILLE, AlabamaWAF) – Friday was an exciting day at Alabama A&M as the university officially reopened one of its outdoor basketball courts.

The reopening was possible after Alabama A&M received a campus improvement grant from the Home Depot Retool Your School program.

Alabama A&M garnered more than 500,000 unique votes in the contest.

This year’s victory marks A&M’s sixth victory in the program’s 15-year history.

Since 2009, the Retool Your School program has provided more than $9.2 million in grants enabling historically Black colleges and universities to make lasting improvements on their campuses.

The reopened basketball court is located across the street from the ROTC building.
