HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) – Community members gathered at the Explore More Discovery Museum in downtown Harrisonburg for its annual “Night at the Museum” gala.

Featuring food, drinks and a silent auction, the event was an opportunity for adults to come together and support children in the community. Museum executive director Lisa Shull said Explore More is a nonprofit that must raise 40 percent of its own budget.

The museum is grateful for the community’s support.

“The benefits of this event are really important to us. This helps us maintain our exhibits, develop new programs and provide opportunities so that every child can learn, explore more and have access to this rich learning environment.

Proceeds will also be used to fund scholarships.
