25 Philippine schools enter the QS Asia list

TWENTY-FIVE Philippine higher education institutions (HEIs) have been included in the 2025 Asian University Rankings, the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) said.

CHEd President J. Prospero de Vera welcomed the announcement, noting that it was a demonstration of the capabilities and potential of Philippine educational institutions.

“The country is witnessing a growing presence of Philippine universities recognized not only in Asia but around the world. This trend aligns with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directives to internationalize Philippine higher education institutions and enhance their global reputation,” he added.

The Asian university rankings were an initiative of international education analytics firm Quacquarelli Symonds.

Ben Sowter, vice president of Quacquarelli Symonds, said Philippine universities have built a strong reputation among international employers and are characterized by a strong international curriculum.
