It’s time my brothers David Platt (Jack P. Berger) and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) compete in Coronation Street next week as they both find themselves caught up in a complicated web of lies.

David is currently hiding the fact that his wife Shona (Julia Goulding) son Clayton Hibbs (Callum Harrison) – who killed David’s first wife, Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) had I tried to contact her from prison.

Meanwhile, Nick continues to have an affair with his partner Leanne Battersby’s (Jane Danson) sister, Toyah (Georgia Taylor).

As our spoiler video for next Wednesday’s episode reveals, David confides in Nick about Clayton’s call.

Actress Julia Goulding previously teased that the truth could tear Shona and David apart if she finds out.

She said: “When Shona finds out her husband put her under pressure and took part in Clayton’s attempt to kill himself, I’m afraid to think what she’s going to do. But I don’t think she will. She’s going to let herself go!

“There’s going to be a lot of anger and pain, it’s possible they’ll destroy each other.”

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday November 13 at 8pm on ITV1 and from 7am on ITVX.
