The New York Giants look to extend their four-game losing streak to five games, the longest such streak under head coach Brian Daboll. They will try to do it in Munich, Germany, against a Carolina Panthers team whose 2024 season, like that of the Giants, is lost.

The Giants are coming off a 27-22 loss to the Washington Commanders last week at home. It’s the first time they’ve been swept by the Commanders since 2021, and the loss dropped them to 0-4 in division play this season. The Giants have also failed to win a home game so far in 2024, but they have at least managed to put several touchdowns on the board in front of their own fans.

Quarterback Daniel Jones played better, throwing for 174 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for another. Theo Johnson and Chris Manhertz were the recipients of these touchdown passes, Jones’ first since the 2022 season. Rookie Tyrone Tracy Jr also had another efficient game, totaling 66 yards on 16 carries. Tracy now has 442 rushing yards this season, leading all rookie running backs in that category.

The Panthers are coming off a thrilling 23-22 victory over the New Orleans Saints, ending their drought. Quarterback Bryce Young, the No. 1 pick in the 2023 draft, hasn’t had the best start to his career.

He ultimately led the Panthers to victory, totaling 171 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Chuba Hubbard, receiving a four-year extension after the win, had 72 yards and two touchdowns against the Saints.

Both teams are 2-7, and let’s face it: the game has lost a lot of its luster due to how each team’s 2024 campaign has gone. The Giants, at least, are looking to extend their unbeaten streak in Europe, as they are 3-0 in such games.

Their last game in Europe came in the 2022 season when they defeated the Green Bay Packers 27-22 in a thriller.

This is the Giants’ final game before the bye week, an important game that will have major implications for the long-term draft — and perhaps even more so if the Giants were to lose this game.
