Sudbury News: Watch the Remembrance Day ceremony

Every year on November 11, Canadians honor the men and women who died, served and continue to serve at Remembrance Day ceremonies across the country.

“Remembrance Week is a time to respect, reflect and remember,” said the Ontario government.

“This is a time to honor the fallen, reflect on the impact of armed conflict, and pay tribute to those who have served and continue to serve our country.”

This year, CTVNewsNorthernOntario.ca is broadcasting live online the ceremony hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion at the Sudbury Community Arena starting at 10:30 a.m. Monday.

The video link will be posted above shortly before the ceremony.

At 11 a.m. on Remembrance Day, Canadians are encouraged to observe two minutes of silence.

“On November 11, observe two minutes of silence to show your gratitude for the courage and sacrifice of our veterans and those currently serving in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Sudbury’s public transit service, GOVA, offers free bus rides to the city center. Residents only need to inform the driver that they are attending the ceremony.
