Jake Paul Vs. Mike Tyson: Fight Preview, Prediction, How to Watch

Jake Paul says his destiny is to knock out former unified heavyweight champion Mike Tyson this Friday, November 15 on Netflix at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. It’s not PPV.

It’s a big step up in class for Jake to face 58-year-old Mike Tyson, who still looks powerful and dangerous at his age. Paul has yet to fight a world-class fighter in his four-year professional career. Twelve-ounce gloves will be worn for this fight rather than the usual 10-ounce for heavyweight clashes, and it will be an eight-round fight with two-minute rounds.

This fight comes down to whether Mike Tyson still possesses the explosiveness to connect with quick, powerful shots against novice Jake Paul, who has never fought anyone close to the kind of talent the former champion possessed of the world during his career.

Jake Paul takes big risks

He has fought a mix of social media influencers, former basketball players and former MMA fighters. In Jake’s only career defeat, he was defeated by cruiserweight Tommy Fury via eight-round split decision on February 26, 2023.

Tommy is a British national-level fighter, best known for being the brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. Yet he is considered a limited, low-level, second-tier guy. Jake’s loss to Tommy puts things into perspective a bit, showing where he stands when it comes to his boxing abilities.

Paul’s recent fights:

–Mike Perry
-Ryan Bourland
– André August
-Nate Diaz
– Tommy Fury: *Real boxer, albeit at British national level

Jake can still punch and has the youth advantage of Tyson, who hasn’t fought in 19 years since June 11, 2005. Tyson looked dejected at that point, losing to journeyman Kevin McBride by knockout at the sixth round. It was a signal that Tyson had nothing left, as McBride had never beaten anyone before, and his career quickly collapsed afterward.

YouTuber Jake Paul (10-1, 7 KOs), 27 years old, who has amassed an immense fortune estimated at 80 million dollars by Celebrity Net Worth, takes on former heavyweight division king Mike Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) in an eight-round fight that will go down in the record books.

Jake would have received a scholarship of approximately 40 million dollars for Friday’s fight, when Tyson will receive $20 million.

Paul certain of victory

“When it happens, it’s going to be a little bittersweet because I have love for him, but right now we’re supposed to go to war,” Jake Paul said on his Twitter account. YouTube channel when asked what it would mean for him to defeat Mike Tyson on Friday night.

If Tyson can land some of his power shots, he could knock Jake out, but it’s questionable whether he’ll be able to reach him. In Mike’s training clips, he it looks awfully slow and nothing like the fighter he was over 20 years ago during his professional career. It’s been a tough few years for Iron Mike. Plus, we don’t know if Tyson can fight hard without passing out after one or two rounds.

In Tyson’s last two career losses to McBride and Danny Williams, he faded after two rounds and was knocked out by both fighters.

“He’s trying to take food off my plate. I try to take food off his plate, and that’s what warriors do,” Jake said of Tyson. “For me, I dreamed of it, and it will be the start of what has been a 12-year career for me. This is my moment, my time to shine, and I’m going to show the world who I am.

Jake is very rich with generational type moneyand his career will continue to hum, bringing in money, even if Mike Tyson knocks him out. There would be no shame in being beaten by a big like Tyson, especially considering Jake’s lack of experience heading into this match. He hasn’t faced anyone world class yet.

“Nothing was ever given to me. I had to work for all of that,” Jake said. “Deleted by everyone, launched on YouTube, launched on the platforms, and here I am basically hosting the biggest event in all of entertainment.”

Jake has the victim mentality here, and he seems to feel sorry for himself despite being one of the rich fat cats. He’s had a lot of help making money and he doesn’t need to play the victim card.

“Now it shows the rest of the world what hard work and perseverance can do.” I’m just happy to show that to other kids who maybe have to go through adversity, who have to fight and who have to continue to prove themselves over and over again. Yeah, it’s already written,” Paul said of Mike Tyson’s elimination on Friday.
