The Saskatoon Police Service was made aware of a telephone scam circulating in the community regarding the Stars Lottery.

The caller alleges that the person receiving the call has won a new vehicle, the caller then advises the potential victim to pay the caller via gift card to have the new vehicle towed to their location.

Residents are advised to block the number and ignore any texts if they are relevant. Do not click on any links or make any payments to this caller or website if provided.

Stars Lottery will never require payment of any kind. If you have been the victim of fraud or a scam, please report it to the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300. Any text messages or phone calls may also be reported to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
