Cavs extend winning streak to 12-0 and dominate Bulls 119-113

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The Cavaliers extended their historic start to an impressive 12-0 record, after defeating the Bulls 119-113.

Donovan Mitchell led the way with a season-high 36 points, shooting 7-16 from deep and 12-26 from the field in his 35 minutes of action.

Once again, the Cavaliers struggled in the third quarter, trailing by as many as nine points, but it was the bench that provided a much-needed rally.

The Cavaliers had every reserve in the game and a Ty Jerome steal was the spark Cleveland needed to get things going. Jerome’s steal led to straight three-pointers, first from Caris LeVert to make it 85-79 for the Bulls, then from Dean Wade to make it a three-point game. Jerome would score six straight points to close the third quarter with a 95-92 lead.

The bench totals 39 points, with Jérôme, Georges Niang and LeVert all with 12 points.

Darius Garland was appointed Eastern Conference Player of the Week earlier today, and proved why.

In the final seconds, Garland made a layup to put the game out of reach and put the Cavs up 12-0.
