Budget airline Scoot announced on November 11 that it will soon offer direct flights to Phu Quoc in Vietnam, Padang in Indonesia and Shantou in China.

Scoot’s flights to Phu Quoc will operate on the airline’s Embraer E190-E2 aircraft and will begin on December 20, 2024. Scoot will begin with three flights per week before increasing to five flights per week by on January 25, 2025.

Flights to Padang will also be on the Embraer E190-E2 aircraft. They will begin on January 6, 2025, with a flight four times a week.

Flights to Shantou will begin on January 16 aboard the Airbus A320 family aircraft. Scoot will operate three flights per week to Shantou.

Scoot’s one-way economy class fares to these new destinations start at S$135 (Phu Quoc), S$119 (Padang) and S$169 (Shantou), inclusive of taxes.

Flights to Phu Quoc, Padang and Shantou can be booked now, via Scoot’s website and mobile application, and gradually through other channels.

Separately, the low-cost carrier said it was making adjustments to its network to “better match capacity to demand and optimize fleet deployment.”

It increases the number of flights to Jakarta, Koh Samui, Davao and Vientiane:

  • 19 weekly flights to Jakarta from November 24, 2024
  • 21 weekly flights to Koh Samui from December 20, 2024
  • Daily flights to Davao starting December 22, 2024
  • Five weekly flights to Vientiane from February 9, 2025

Scoot will also suspend operations to Nanchang after February 14, 2025.
