WHAT TO EXPECT

This morning, everything is clear, with pockets of fog developing. It’s cooler at 46 degrees, although the average low for Knoxville this time of year is now 39 degrees!

We have a beautiful day to get out and enjoy a cooler, but still above average fall day. We top out at 66 degrees in Knoxville, with a cool northeast breeze of 5 to 10 mph and gusts around 15 mph.

Tonight it will be a little cooler and closer to normal, at 42 degrees in Knoxville. Once again, it’s pretty clear and everything is calm for now.

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE

Wednesday arrives with gradually increasing clouds, so it’s still a beautiful day. The second cold front brings rain late this evening and throughout the night Wednesday. That leaves us around 68 degrees, with a slight breeze.

It’s a soggy start to Thursday, after a rainy night and continued rain, this adds to a WVLT First Alert weather day based on timing. This can make morning commutes complicated, with hydroplaning and visibility problems the main risks.

Precipitation is scattered by midday and patchy showers persist into Thursday afternoon, with a cooler day and a cloudy outlook. It will only be around 58 degrees in the afternoon.
