Who is participating in the 2024 DP World Tour Championship? McIlroy, Horschel, Fleetwood, Hatton…

The DP World Tour Race to Dubai concludes this week at the DP World Tour Championship on the Earth course at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai, with Rory McIlroy almost certain to finish at the top of the rankings for the sixth time in his career and this year in a row.

Who will win the Race to Dubai 2024?

McIlroy is once again the biggest name in the field for the event and can only be caught at the top of the ranking by one man, Thriston Lawrence of South Africawho notably finished fourth at this year’s British Open at Royal Troon.

There are, however, many other stars competing in the DP World Tour Championship, which presents the 50 best players on the circuit in 2024with a few exceptions.

Why are Ludwig Aberg and Jon Rahm not competing in the DP World Tour Championship 2024?

World number. 5 Ludwig Abergwhich plays mainly in the United States, is ranked 21st in the DP World Tour rankings but is not in Dubai after undergoing knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus in September.

And LIV Golf Jon Rahm, who jumped last week’s HSBC Abu Dhabi Championshiphas again decided to prioritize family over fairways. The Spaniard, ranked 38th, became a father for the third time a little over a month ago.

The absences of Aberg and Rahm mean that Scotland’s Connor Syme and Italy’s Francesco Laporta, ranked 51st and 52nd respectively, are on the pitch in their place.
