A 32-year-old man is being treated for serious injuries after being stabbed in the evening at a residence in Gatineau, Quebec.

Police said officers responded to a call for a stabbing in a building on Boulevard de la Gappe around 6:45 p.m. Monday.

“Upon arrival on scene, police located a victim with serious injuries to his upper body,” police said.

The victim was taken to hospital.

Police said a 42-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and remained in custody as of Tuesday morning.

The investigation continues.
