‘Dota 2’ hero Kez receives major nerfs as players discover his strength

Just days after being buffed due to a terrible initial win rate, a new Dota 2 The hero Kez received huge nerfs as players finally figured out how to get the most out of his abilities, which proved that he was actually a little too strong.

When Kez was launched almost a week ago, Dota players were struggling to get the most out of the new hero, who is considerably more complex than most thanks to the existence of two different sets of abilities. This saw him sit at a Dismal 35% win rate in most mid-high level games, and fans were clamoring for a buff. These improvements came very quickly, but it seems like it was too rushed, as over the past few days Kez’s win rate has slowly increased as players have learned to play him effectively.

Now many players think that Kez is actually too strong, and Valve seems to agree as they have handed out some big nerfs to the game’s new hero. last mini patch For Dota 2.

The first change involves reversing one of the buffs given to him in a rushed patch last week, with his Falcon Blade’s base attack rate being returned to its launch levels. Ability duration has also been hit hard, dropping from seven to 3/4/5/6.

Elsewhere, the damage of his Kazurai Katana has also been reduced by a percentage point each level, while the cooldown of his two ultimates has been increased across the board. These changes should significantly reduce the amount of damage Kez can deal during a match.

The patch also includes numerous bug fixes for Kez, including one that can also be considered a significant nerf. Echo Slash no longer allowed Kez to escape leashes or movement-restricting abilities such as Distuptor’s Kinetic Field. This means that its leakage power has been significantly reduced and it should be much easier to lock down.

In the games I’ve played against Kez, I feel like he’s a very snowball hero. If you manage to neutralize him in a lane, then he may have a hard time recovering, as he seems to rely on combat to ramp up his power. But if he manages a kill or two in the lane and then starts running around, he can quickly become unstoppable. Hopefully these nerfs will alleviate that a bit.
