Padma Lakshmi turns up the heat.

On Tuesday, Pirelli unveiled its annual calendar photo shoot at London’s Natural History Museum, attended by Lakshmi, 54, to celebrate her photo debut with the theme ‘Refresh and Reveal’.

In the 51st edition of the calendar, photographed by Ethan James Green and styled by Tonne Goodman, the former “Top Chef” host stripped down, revealing plenty of skin in a see-through, see-through dress.

Meanwhile, in another photo, Lakshmi is halfway in the water at Miami’s Virginia Key Beach Historic Park, in a soaked white t-shirt. She previously gave a behind-the-scenes look in the steamy photos from August, expressing her excitement about fulfilling her dream of being on the calendar.

In the interview accompanying the calendar, Lakshmi was asked: “How do you approach nudity when you’re a model in this day and age and in society after the MeToo movement?” »

The New York Times bestselling author responded, “It’s hard. I was modeling in the 1990s and it was a lot freer then. I think we have become much more conservative today.

“And some of that is good; A lot of things that were happening in the 1990s had to go. But I don’t think nudity is something to be afraid of, because I think a woman’s body is one of nature’s most beautiful creations.

When discuss the photo shoot Speaking to People, the activist was candid, saying she didn’t feel so vulnerable during the process.

“I may have done it 30 years ago, but I am in full control of my body and my appearance.”

Lakshmi told People, “I was just so happy to be a part of it and I felt beautiful. I felt taken care of. I felt safe. I felt elegant. The pose in the water is really… it’s a pose of serenity. I think that’s how I feel at this point in my life, and it’s a great feeling, one that I haven’t always had.

According to the interview, Lakshmi was so thrilled with the images that she couldn’t wait to share the photos with her 14-year-old daughter, Krishna.

“They are magnificent. I want her to see femininity in all its stages, so I’m very free with my body at home. I’m also very honest and direct with her, but I’ve always acted in an age-appropriate way.

This is not the first time the author has undressed in recent months; Last year the beauty showed off her curves in a shell bikini for the 2023 issue of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.

After publishing a lingerie collaboration with Bare Necessities in June, Lakshmi spoke to Page Six Style about his current relationship with his body.

“I’m more confident now, physically and otherwise,” she explained. “And I would never go back to my 20s, even if it meant I had a fitter, leaner, tighter, taller body in all the right places. You know, I look good now!
