Mika Zibanejad felt ‘bad’ after leaving game against Jets for unknown reasons

During the New York Rangers’ 6-3 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night, Mika Zibanejad briefly left the game with a mystery injury, but quickly returned.

Early in the second period, before a faceoff, Zibanejad suddenly appeared to be in pain and a trainer helped him off the ice while he was bent over.

Zibanejad immediately headed to the locker room just seconds after sitting on the bench.

After the game, Peter Laviolette didn’t explain what exactly happened with the veteran forward.

However, Zibanejad took time Wednesday to address his sudden departure, reassuring the media that he was fine.

“I just felt bad. I don’t know, I just felt bad and I needed a break,” Zibanejad said. “And that was it. It was nothing serious. So I felt bad before the start. game, and I missed a few minutes and came back and finished the game.

Zibanejad did not explain why he felt bad or what kind of pain he was feeling, but nothing serious seems to have happened while he appears to be fine.
