THE John Lewis Christmas advert 2024 is out now and tells the heartbreaking story of a woman searching for the perfect gift for her sister.

Featuring a song by Richard Ashcroft (Sonnet), the emotional advert was well received by viewers, who think the simplicity of choosing the right gift is a lovely message to spread this year.

The commercial features a believable duo of sisters who share memories together over the years – good, bad and just plain funny.

It centers on older sister Sally, played by Margaret Clunie.

Margaret Clunie is a British actress.

During her career, she has had roles in notable television shows, but got his break in medicine in 2012.

She will next play a recurring role in A Young Doctor’s Notebook, alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Jon Hamm.

In 2013, she made her London theater debut in Hard Feelings.

In 2016 and 2017, she starred alongside Jenna Coleman in the hugely popular ITV historical series Victoria, where she played Harriet, Duchess of Sutherland.

She also had roles in Death in Paradise, Last Christmas and Disney+ Andor series.

His most recent role as in season 2 of Dalgliesh.

She is married to musician Tom Bull.
