Toronto Maple Leafs made a successful return against all odds to defeat the Washington Capitals 4-3 in overtime on the road. Although the Capitals appeared to be the better team through the first 40 minutes, the Leafs played excellent defense from the start in the third period and scored two goals to push the game into overtime, despite being denied two goals. And if you ask head coach Bérubé, both goals could have counted, although it ultimately didn’t matter.
