Ree Drummond’s daughter Alex gives a tour of the Christmas decorated house

Ree Drummondthe daughter of Alex Drummond Scott and her husband Mauricio offer fans a look behind the scenes in their Dallas home – including their Christmas decor!

In the Holiday 2024 issue of Ree’s The Pioneer Woman’s MagazineAlex, 27, and her husband of three years have shared adorable snaps of their shared home, which they have been living in since 2021. But this year is the first time they have stayed there in December, as they are expecting their first baby in January.

“When I was growing up, all the traditions made our childhood so special,” Alex said. “Once we have our daughter, it will be fun to see what traditions evolve.”

As for the traditions the couple brings to their holiday decor, they both introduced personalized stockings and a nativity scene into their home. The couple also added wreaths to each of their windows – including one on their front door which they dressed with a red metallic ribbon.

While the couple and their dog George gave a glimpse of their Texas home, they also shared a glimpse of their living room. The area is complete with banister garland from Balsam Hill on their staircase, Christmas pillows from Grandin Road and Arcadia Home and of course, a Christmas tree.

“We’ll make hot chocolate or soup, put a Alone at home movie and have a nice evening,” Alex said of creating traditions in their living room.

Alex and Mauricio first bought their nursery the year they moved in together, and as they explained in the magazine, it came straight from Pottery Barn. The two were drawn to the “modern version” of the piece because of its simplicity and the fact that it had “all the components” they wanted.

As for the Christmas tree, Alex revealed that she and her mother don’t necessarily agree on that.

“My parents are very supportive of real trees, so they give us a hard time getting a fake one,” Alex said. “Once we have kids, we’ll probably make the switch: it’s a fun experience to pick out a tree and cut it down. But for now, it’s hard to resist the ease of an artificial tree! »

The home’s kitchen also featured soft pops of red and white just in time for the holidays, while the couple also described how they soaked up the holiday spirit through their cooking.

As Alex told the magazine, she’s carrying on Ree’s tradition of baking cinnamon rolls and delivering them to family and friends, with her pup always on hand to grab some leftovers.

Seasonal items in their home include a red Wayfair metal bow, a bone print Christmas stocking for their puppy from Arcadia Home, a striped rug from Rugs USA, a Merry Christmas doormat from Frontgate, and the terra cotta nativity scene from Pottery Barn. .

And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Drummond home without some Pioneer Woman products, including the Pioneer Woman Ornament Cookie Jar and the Pioneer Woman Timeless Beauty Dutch Oven.
