So the Republicans took the House, strengthening their power in Congress and the White House. This comes as Donald Trump has just appointed four additional members to the Cabinet. He builds a practice so fast he’s like Jesus with a power tool. Each represents a part of the MAGA alliance it seems either impressive or downright shocking. But that’s the nature of the pirate ship.

They come in all kinds, and as long as they’re rowing in the right direction, they’re all on board. Meanwhile, the meeting between Trump and Biden at the White House revealed a joy between the two that even the bitter and acerbic media could not deny. But I think Biden was just happy spend time with someone who isn’t trying to put a sheet over their head. So why such a feeling of optimism? It’s the difference between wanting and deciding.

In 2016, there were things Trump wanted: to be president, to have an impact, to move. that of Michelle Obama weight fixed to the basement. But eight years later, the desire turned into a decision. Not just for him, but also for the American people, because we decided it was time for a big change.

It’s like the whole country is in transition, except we’re getting our balls back. You see, we all want things, but there comes a point where you have to decide, yes, I’m going to make my bed. Yes, I do push-ups. Yes, I finally understand that One Direction laser engraved tattoo on my back, then I sold it on eBay.

So it was much more than just an election. This is a transformative moment. As if Jackie Robinson was allowed to play Major League Baseball or women being allowed to vote or Ilhan Omar saying yes, to her brother. We have decided, as a country, to move forward. And that means no longer blaming people today for the misdeeds of their ancestors. It’s like arresting my great-grandparents because I’m criminally handsome.

The Democrats were looking backwards while doing things backwards. And they got dumped like I did with Taylor Swift. You would too. She snores like Andre the Giant with a sinus infection. But many people take this personally, as if it is a rejection of their entire way of thinking. Now, really, I want to make Democrats feel better. I’m tired of see Rachel Maddow cry at Home Depot. And so many people in the media are unhappy. Imagine being that helpless and not having your own hair to pull out. But the only way to get over it is to get out of your own head.

Forget identity. Embrace the world around you. Family, friends, people you see throughout your day. Transform anxiety into curiosity. Instead of worrying about how tomorrow will affect you, be curious about how you can influence tomorrow. Research shows that people who turn inward suffer more from depression, but people who turn outward replace that anxiety with curiosity. That’s why I installed hidden cameras in the Fox and friends bathroom. You see, identity politics is just a fancy word for “me.” What do I want? What hurts me?

Obsessing about your identity feeds your ego and robs you of valuable connections. No wonder a political defeat feels like a wound. But if you remove identity politics, the ego shrinks like Rachel Levine’s nuts in a cold plunge. I mean, compare Trump supporters to their opposites: RFK, Musk, Tulsi, Rogan, Tucker, Vivek. They are all curious and adventurous types with outside interests. They surf, hawk, hunt, fly fish, and leave dead bears in Central Park.

But they have no time for self-obsession. They literally don’t think about themselves. Unlike the famous Never Trumpers who have wounded egos tattooed on their foreheads: Kinzinger, Cheney, Hello Joe. Geraldo panics so much that the state takes care of his mustache. Just watch the most unhinged explosions on cable television.
