6 months after getting tired of RPGs, I’m finally going to finish Dragon’s Dogma 2 in time for 2025

I have a love-hate relationship with Dragon’s Dogma 2. It’s one of the first new games of 2024 that has fully captured my attention – for 9 days anyway, during which I invested just under 100 hours. CapcomThe vast, monster-infested lands lie between Vermund and Battahl. At first, I loved the combat-focused focus of the game’s intended genre, bringing it more in line with action RPGs rather than focusing on the role-playing or highly involved storytelling that I had lived elsewhere.

But barely had I made peace with the fact that Baldur’s Gate 3 could have I ruined RPGs foreverall the intrigues I had pushed me towards the end of Dragon’s Dogma 2 suddenly empty. Eventually, after unlocking the point of no return quest The Guardian Gigantus, I gave up completely – but not before attempting to bomb my whole game passing by the famous Dragon’s Dogma 2. It turns out that sneaky dreams of a disease that breeds serial killers always I couldn’t entertain myself long enough to see them come to fruition, even after recruiting all sorts of over-leveled pawns in the vain hope of seeing burning red eyes staring at me from the Rift. So what’s left for me to do but grit my teeth and bear it one last time? It’s time to conquer Dragon’s Dogma 2 once and for all. As soon as I remember how to play it, of course.

Once again to the breach, dear friends
