Josh Altman and wife Heather Altman put a lot of thought into creating their Million Dollar Listing LA exit.

“It wasn’t an overnight discussion where we decided the day before, ‘Hey, let’s do this,’” Josh, 45, told the outlet exclusively. Us every week while promoting its partnership with Fontainebleau Las Vegas. “This is something that has come to light over the last 24 months.”

Josh explained that as he and Heather, 39, spent more quality time with their two children – daughter Lexi, 7, and son Ace, 5 – the couple, married since 2016 , realized they wanted to focus on making more memories with their family.

“We can still go out there and sell houses. We can still go and do all these things, but we will never find the time again when our children are that age,” he mused. “It’s funny, you start hanging out with your friends who have older kids and they’re like, ‘Spend time with them now because in a few years they won’t want to hang out with you!’ This is probably the best advice I’ve received in a long time.

Josh Altman and Heather Altman have nothing but fond memories of their time on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles. “What can I say!!! Million Dollar Listing LA has been quite an adventure,” Josh, 45, and Heather, 39, captioned a joint Instagram post on Thursday, October 31. “The memories, the friendships, the experiences, the sales, the highs, (…)

Observations and words of wisdom from his friends made Josh realize that he wanted to take a step back from work to prioritize his role as a father.

“I prefer to slow down now, spend time with them, and then when they are teenagers and they don’t want anything to do with their parents,” he added. “Then I can go back to doing everything we did.”

Josh has been a fixture on Million Dollar Listing LA since 2004. Heather, for her part, has also appeared in the series. In October, Josh announced that he and Heather were both leave the show. “It was good,” he explained. “It didn’t feel right last year when we were thinking about doing it, but it felt right this year.”

While Josh was hesitant about the best time to leave the serieshe explained that the episode he and Heather did in Las Vegas in season 14 played a role.

“After we filmed that episode of Vegas, the previous season before this last season, when we finished,…if I remember correctly, Heather looked at me and said, ‘Yeah, how long do you think Do you want to do that?’” recalled. “Of course it’s been amazing and we’re so lucky to have this stage and to have this show in our life so far. But as we (decided) to start living and opening businesses in different areas and trying new things, it really started then I think she talked about it, but she knows me better than I do. So I think she saw it in my face. .

Since announcing their departure, Josh and Heather have enjoyed spending time together, including trips to Napa and Scotland. However, Josh is adamant he will not retire from real estate. In fact, the agent partnered with the Fontainebleau Las Vegas for the Las Vegas Grand Prix to officially list the Aston Martin Million Dollar Package. As part of this offer, guests will have access to resort amenities during their 5-night stay, as well as a limited edition 2025 Aston Martin Vanquish.

“It’s so funny because when I got into it, I was like, ‘So wait, let me get this straight,'” he said. “I started doing the math in my head like everyone probably does when they look at this million dollar package, which of course was the perfect solution for the guy from Million dollar ad …I was like, “Wait, this is a good deal!” »
