All-you-can-eat Asian cuisine set to open early next week in Minot

MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – The Magic City is adding even more flavor to its dining scene with the opening of a new Asian restaurant at Dakota Square Mall early next week.

The one-of-a-kind restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat experience for $20 to $30.

Do Eat offers a fusion of Japanese and Thai cuisine.

“Think of it like ordering a meal with a fixed price. It’s basically at a lower cost,” said general manager Kiky Rizky.

The 7,000 square foot space can accommodate more than 200 guests.

The problem is that it’s not a buffet. You choose from their menu and the servers will come back after the first round to ask if you want another.

Owner Kobie Lin has two other restaurants in Bismarck: Oahu and Kobe’s Steakhouse. After about three years, he finally decided it was time to offer Minot residents something they never had before.

“Live a completely new experience, unlike other sushi or steakhouses: you order, pay a price, but you are only limited to one item – but I want them to feel that you pay a price, but you can try on several items before you go ahead I’m afraid to order,” Lin said.

The manager’s goal is for customers to have a memorable experience and keep coming back.

He said there was a demand for this type of cuisine in the area.

“Curiosity and I always come back. We aim for the long term. Satisfaction is good, yes, but we are aiming for the long term,” Rizky said.

Food is freshly prepared to order.

Do Eat is expected to open early next week.

It replaces the former Grizzly’s restaurant across Old Navy at the Dakota Square shopping center.

They also offer takeaway and a la carte meals.
