Microsoft has rolled out new features for the Xbox Accessories app on Xbox consoles and Windows PCs, giving gamers greater control over controller customization and tools to resolve common issues.

The biggest addition to Xbox Accessories app is a new trigger calibration tool. This tool helps resolve minor trigger issues, such as stickiness or lack of response, on standard Xbox Wireless Controllers and Elite Series 2 controllers. Calibration adjusts how the software interprets trigger inputs , thus providing a quick solution for minor problems and potentially reduce the need for repairs. The Gamepad Calibration Tool, previously limited to standard controllers, now supports Elite Series 2 models. Stick drift, a common issue where the gamepad registers input even when stopped, can sometimes be resolved by recalibrating the system to match the controller’s current rest position.
