Latest Nebraska Quarterback News

Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule held his press conference Thursday and indicated that quarterback Dylan Raiola will be ready for today’s game against Nebraska. USC Trojans.

Raiola suffered from a back injury throughout the season. He aggravated it in the program’s final game against the UCLA Bruins. At first, we wondered if he would be ready to play in Saturday’s match. Now we have an answer.

The quarterback has recorded 1,921 yards, ten touchdowns and eight interceptions this year. Last time out, he went 14 of 27, throwing for 177 yards, a touchdown and an interception against the Bruins.

This is certainly a positive development for a Huskers program that needs a spark offensively. Raiola’s status and new offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen could be a recipe for success against a talented Trojans team.

Dylan Raiola injury update

Head coach Matt Rhule had the following to say when asked about the quarterback status for Saturday.

“Dylan will be ready to go and has had a great week of training. We have representatives with all the guys. Heinrich (Haarberg) ready to go. Heinrich had a really good couple of weeks…we’ll take four shifts there, but they’re all comfortable with what we’re doing.
