The 10 Hottest Shows We’re All Obsessed With

Well, this certainly looks like one of the biggest TV shows of recent years – Paramount’s Yellow stoneeveryone’s favorite soapy western about a Montana ranching dynasty – is coming out with a bang. Specifically, by angering a large portion of the show’s longtime fans.

The show, which Reelgood’s latest weekly ranking of the most popular TV shows ranks as the No. 1 title this week, actually had its lowest Rotten Tomatoes audience score for season 5, the second of which Half debuted on the Paramount Network just a few days ago. Fans have generally torn the series apart online because of its overall direction, the writing, that big death in the premiere – you name it. “So incredibly boring,” reads a 0.5/5 star review of the show, whose audience score currently sits at a series low of 40%.

“Taylor Sheridan is more interested in showcasing his 6666 Ranch and talking about things that no one cares about than putting effort into character and story development. He’s clearly surrounding himself with “Yes Men” to feed his enormous ego.

Add another unhappy Yellow stone viewer on the site: “It was, without a doubt, our favorite show. Every member of the family enjoyed it (rare, to say the least). Then, starting in season 4, Sheridan got distracted by his other projects, and we were forced to spend an awful lot of time watching Jimmy (if uninteresting) hang out at Taylor’s new ranch (6666). Now Costner is gone and the idea that this “fixer” could have killed John Dutton so easily when so many other ruthless enemies have failed is simply absurd. The show changed in season 4 and now, without Costner, it just isn’t the same.

Luckily, there’s a lot more content available to stream this week that viewers won’t trash or feel like they’ve jumped the shark. For example, check out Reelgood’s list of the top 10 TV shows that topped the service’s latest weekly rankings (for the 7-day period ending November 13):

  1. Yellow stone (The Paramount Network)
  2. The diplomat (Netflix)
  3. The Penguin (HBO/Max)
  4. Lioness (Paramount+)
  5. Contraction (Apple TV+)
  6. Disclaimer (Apple TV+)
  7. Agatha throughout (Disney+)
  8. Matlock (Paramount+)
  9. Tracker (Paramount+)
  10. Rivals (Hulu)

Reelgood monitors 20 million viewing decisions each month across all streaming platforms in the United States, from Apple TV+ has Max., Peacock, Disney+, Hulu, Netflix, Main videoAnd Paramount+. Other hit series dominating the rankings this week include Netflix’s. The diplomat (which I think is one of the best TV shows of 2024), as well as the HBO crime drama The Penguinand the super well-being of Apple Contractionto highlight a few from the list above.

While we wait for next week’s lineup of new TV shows, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Sheridan’s new drama for Paramount+, Landmanwill quickly find themselves in the Reelgood rankings – as well as Netflix series coming next week, including the Ted Danson-led series A man inside And Esoteric: Season 2, Act III.
