The Surat Cyber ​​Police arrested three members of a cybercriminal gang and seized 281 bank accounts linked to transfers to Dubai.

281 bank accounts were seized and the money was transferred to Dubai, Surat Police Commissioner Anupam Singh Gehlot confirmed.

Speaking to ANI, Gehlot added, “Apart from 281 bank accounts seized, several passbooks, debit cards and laptops were also seized. 210 FIRs were lodged against these members in various cities across the country.”

Further, Gehlot added that most of the gang members never revealed their full names and with the help of available information, sketches of the members were made.

“During the investigation, we discovered that most of the members never revealed their full names. So, with the information we had, sketches of the members were made and based on that, two members who were working in Dubai were found. We identified their passports and learned that they were in Dubai. They are “digitally arresting” the victims,” he added.

The police commissioner called on police personnel in other cities to share the sketches of the accused with other complainants to help him trace the accused more effectively.

“I appeal to the police to share the sketches with the complainants so that we can more easily trace the accused,” he added.

Further investigation into this matter is underway.

On October 17, Gujarat Police arrested building owner Safia Manzil and her two sons on charges of cybercrime activities during a raid conducted.

According to Commissioner of Police Anupam Singh Gehlot, the raid was carried out by the Special Operations Group and the owner of the building was identified as Maqbool (58) who was arrested along with his two sons identified as Kasif (32). ) and Maz (25 years old). .
