Packers vs Bears betting preview, odds and predictions

Week 11 of the NFL season is underway and one of the matchups includes an NFC North showdown: the Chicago Bears host the Green Bay Packers.

The Packers just had a week off. Before that, they lost to the Detroit Lions. Conversely, the Bears have lost three straight games.

Below I will look at two scenarios for this game, review the betting odds, make a prediction and how to claim a valuable sportsbook welcome bonus from one of the best PA sportsbooks

The Bears fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron

There’s a lot of drama swirling around the Windy City and their hometown Bears.

Quarterback Caleb Williams has thrown for 131 yards or fewer in two of the last three games. The team fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron, who was in his first season with the team, and receiver DJ Moore appeared to leave the field midway through the game.

To be fair, Moore said he twisted his ankle, but it wasn’t great. Now, before this game, the Bears have turned to Thomas Brown to be their offensive coordinator.

Brown was the team’s passing game coordinator this season and, in 2023, the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers, who I would consider the worst offense in the NFL last season.

As mentioned, Williams is not playing well. He’s averaging about 150 passing yards per game over the last three and has been sacked 15 times over the last two.

The Packers have allowed three touchdowns in the last three games while intercepting one pass during that stretch.

I’m just not sure this is where Williams gets back on track. There are a lot of changes, and it’s already not looking good for the start of Williams’ career.

Packers vs. Bears odds

Coming into this game, the Packers are 6-3 (4-5 ATS) and the Bears are 4-5 (5-4 ATS).

The Bears have plenty of distractions, but Packers quarterback Jordan Love has thrown 10 interceptions this year.

Before we explore the Packers storyline (Love’s interceptions), check out the point differencemoneyline and total odds.

Can Jordan Love stay out of the INT column?

After being released, Love has 10 interceptions this season, tied for first in the NFL. Love has played in seven games this season.

So while he’s tied with Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith, he’s played two fewer games than them.

Love has thrown at least one interception in every game this season.

The Bears defense averages 0.89 interceptions per game. They have only intercepted one pass in the last three games. Week 8 ended a streak of at least one interception from Week 3 to Week 6.

When you look at his split stats, Love throws interceptions regardless of pressure. He threw five interceptions from a clean pocket and five under pressure. Most of his interceptions (six) came on passes between 0 and 19 yards downfield.

He’s had some weird interceptions this season. During Week 5 against the Los Angeles Rams, Byron Young pressured Love in the end zone and threw it as he fell to the ground.

As you will see in my prediction below, I think Love remains pure here.

Betting Packers vs. Bears

Here are two player accessories to consider for this game as you jump into some Betting on Pennsylvania this weekend.

Josh Jacobs Anytime TD (-135, DraftKings Sports Betting): The Bears are giving up nearly one rushing touchdown to running backs per game this season. Jacobs has only scored three times this season, but he has been incredibly efficient (5.1 yards per carry).

Jordan Love Less than 0.5 INT (+102, BetRivers sports betting): There’s bound to be a game where Love doesn’t throw an interception, and at +105, I’d take a chance on this play. The Bears have only had one interception in the last three weeks, and even then once, the Packers have just taken time off.

Packers vs. Bears Prediction

The Packers are coming off a bye week and have a quarterback who is a bit of a gunslinger but is also productive.

This team has several weapons for Love, including Jacobs, who I hope will have one of his best games of the season.

The Bears have allowed 15 sacks in the last two games, and two offensive linemen have yet to practice this week.

I’m leaning towards the Packers at -5.5 (-110, FanDuel Sports Betting).
