Google Could Let You Expand AI Previews Further

Google AI Previews got off to a pretty rocky start, but the company fixed them and sent them. NOW, more than 100 countries proposing this controversial feature… Hooray. Well, it looks like Google isn’t just providing AI previews. New report reveals Google could allow you to further expand AI insights which has already appeared.

It’s not hard to see why AI previews are controversial. They could prove fatal for millions of websites on the Internet, but Google doesn’t seem to mind. Other AI-based search features from other companies aren’t any better. Fortunately, there is a way to disable AI previews in case you are tired of seeing them.

Google Could Let You Expand AI Previews Further

Don’t you hate it when you look up a word in the dictionary and the definition contains a word that you then have to look up the definition of? This may have inspired this potential AI preview feature. It is important to note that Google has not yet launched this feature. Thanks to Assemble Debug, we know that Google is actively working on this. As such, you’ll want to take this news with a grain of salt. Google could remove this feature at any time before launch.

If this feature hits the stable channel, you will be able to request an AI preview of your AI preview. Let’s say you get a preview when you search for “AMOLED” and it includes the term “Diode”. Well, you will be able to select “Diode” and view a full preview of that word. This way, you can expand certain terms and expressions in the preview. At first glance, you will only be able to get a new preview from the text in a preview. You won’t be able to do the same thing with text in any of the traditional search results.

Looking at the screenshot below, it appears that the secondary preview will appear in a panel at the bottom of the screen. It will not fill the screen or replace the original preview. If you need to reject it, simply slide the panel down.
