(RTTNews) – Cisco (CSCO) and MGM Resorts International have signed a comprehensive portfolio agreement (WPA), giving MGM Resorts the majority of Cisco’s software portfolio. This includes cybersecurity, software-defined networks, software-defined WAN, digital experience assurance, comprehensive observability, data center and services. The agreement spans 5.5 years and will benefit guests and employees at all MGM Resorts properties, Cisco said in a statement.

According to Cisco, the deal will automate MGM Resorts’ network infrastructure, laying the foundation for future advancements in location-based services and next-generation machine learning applications. These innovations will create new avenues for customer engagement in the gaming and hospitality sectors. Additionally, Cisco technology will improve availability and security, ensuring smooth and reliable experiences for guests at MGM Resorts, which operate 24 hours a day.
