Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: Know Mumbai Special Train Routes, Timings, Stops & Timings for Voters

In preparation for the next Maharashtra Assembly Electionsthe Central Railway has announced special suburban train services to help election officials, staff and the public.

These additional services will be available on the nights of November 19-20 and November 20-21, 2024 on major suburban routes: Main Line (CSMT-Kalyan) and Harbor Line (CSMT-Panvel).

The special trains will stop at all stations on these routes, ensuring convenient travel for passengers. The services aim to promote easy access for voters and election staff, thereby facilitating smooth participation in the democratic process.

Tuesday-Wednesday evening (November 19-20, 2024)

Main line (descending): CSMT – Kalyan Special: departure at 3:00 a.m., arrival at 4:30 a.m.

Main line (top): Kalyan – CSMT Special: departure at 3:00 a.m., arrival at 4:30 a.m.

Harbor Line (down): CSMT – Panvel Special: departure at 03:00, arrival at 04:20

Harbor Line (Up): Panvel – CSMT Special: Departure at 3:00 a.m., arrival at 4:20 a.m.

Wednesday and Thursday evening (November 20 and 21, 2024):

Main line (descending): CSMT – Kalyan Special: departure at 1:10 a.m., arrival at 2:40 a.m.

CSMT – Kalyan Special: departure at 2:30 a.m., arrival at 4:00 a.m.

Main line (top): Kalyan – CSMT Special: Departure at 1:00 a.m., arrival at 2:30 a.m.

Kalyan – CSMT Special: departure at 2:00 a.m., arrival at 3:30 a.m.

Harbor Line (down): CSMT – Panvel Special: departure at 01:40, arrival at 03:00

CSMT – Panvel Special: Departure at 2:50 a.m., arrival at 4:10 a.m.

Harbor Line (Up): Panvel – CSMT Special: Departure at 1:00 a.m., arrival at 2:20 a.m.

Panvel – CSMT Special: Departure at 2:30 a.m., arrival at 3:50 a.m.

These services are designed to ensure smooth and punctual travel for everyone involved in the electoral process, promote higher voter turnout and facilitate the operation of election officials.

Official leave

Mumbai’s district election officer said all businesses, establishments and workplaces in the city will be required to provide leave to their employees on Wednesday to ensure they can vote in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections . This directive aims to encourage maximum voter participation and make the voting process more accessible to the city’s workforce, PTI reported.

“I humbly ask everyone Mumbaikars to exercise their right to vote responsibly and peacefully,” Phansalkar said in a video message on Tuesday.
