Germany promises to no longer be intimidated by Russia

WARSAW, Poland (AP) — Germany’s foreign minister has vowed that her country will not be intimidated by Russia’s new nuclear deterrent policy. She says Berlin has made this mistake in the past, but will not repeat it. Annalena Baerbock told a news conference in Poland on Tuesday that Berlin would now heed the warnings of its border partners with Ukraine. She was attending a meeting of foreign ministers from Poland, Germany, France and Italy. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a revised nuclear doctrine declaring that a conventional attack on Russia by any country backed by a nuclear power will be considered a joint attack on its country.
