MADRID/ROME, November 20. /TASS/. The Spanish embassy in kyiv announced that it would not provide its services for the day due to potential security threats, the Spanish news agency reports. EFE reported.

According to the agency, the diplomatic mission informed Spanish citizens living in Ukraine by email. The embassy called on Spaniards to strengthen their security, to “follow all recommendations given by local authorities” and to be informed of the location of the shelter.

Meanwhile, the Italian Embassy in kyiv also announced its decision to close its doors to visitors for the day due to possible security threats. “As a precautionary measure, the embassy in kyiv will be closed to visitors today, but it will continue its work,” said a statement published on the embassy’s official website. “In the event of an air alert,” the embassy recommended Italian citizens in Ukraine to follow security precautions and “immediately seek the nearest shelter.”

Previously, it was announced that the US Embassy in kyiv suspended operations on November 20.

Since the start of the day, several explosions have occurred in kyiv. Air alerts sounded in kyiv three times, with sirens active in the area for 11 consecutive hours.
