Lubbock gets first frost Wednesday morning

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Lubbock received its first frost of the season this morning at 7:09 a.m.

We will announce the winner of this year’s Yates Flooring competition on Wednesday evening. The minimum temperature was 32 degrees, as reported by the Lubbock Weather Bureau on the airport website.

Looking ahead, it will be cold again Thursday morning with a low in the mid 30s. Thursday afternoon it will be warmer with highs in the 60s. The weather will stay in the 60s Friday under sunny skies.

The weekend will be warmer with highs in the 70s and some clouds in the area. Overnight lows will continue to be cold, in the mid to upper 30s.

The next storm to hit us will arrive early next week.
