Chris Hemsworth Can’t Forgive Himself One Particular Movie After Getting ‘Caught Up’ – Marvel

When a Hollywood actor talks about some of their most iconic characters or great performances, it’s usually either praise or exaggeration.

Yet for actor Chris Hemsworth, he got very realistic about one of his roles where he feels he didn’t give the best performance.

Known for playing the role of Thor in the MCU film series, the actor became well known for his role as God of Thunder among movie fans who stuck with the four-film franchise.

However, the latest opus of the franchise, Thor: Love and Thunderreleased in 2022, turned out to be one that Hemsworth is 100% not proud of.

Even though Hemsworth isn’t extremely proud of it, there’s no denying that it’s a huge success because he made a huge splash. $760 million at the box office.

Sitting with an impressive 76 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, Thor: Love and Thunder proved to be well-liked by audiences, while receiving an average score of 64% from critics.

The Times’ Tom Shone wrote, “Not just the best Marvel movie ever made, but a true camp comedy classic: fast, bright, garish, prickly, antique and fun.”

While Decider’s John Serba wrote, “As visually memorable as the sequence is, narratively speaking, it’s wet spaghetti tossed onto the plaster and making its wacky path to the floor.”

Yet despite all the praise, Hemsworth still isn’t happy with the fourth film, as he explained while sitting down in front of speak with Vanity fair. In the interview, Hemsworth said he could not forgive himself for the film: “I got caught up in improvisation and madness, I became a parody of myself. I failed to land.”

Hemsworth went on to say that he had become a parody of himself in the MCU. Thor: Love and Thunderalthough he was able to add his personal touch with Thor: Ragnarok.

In an Instagram post from a family vacation, the actor wrote: “My son wanted to catch a fish for the people of Fiji and after 3 attempts and about 12 hours at sea we caught this beauty. Feeding the village for 3 days.”

In the post, a video clip of the family’s fishing featured one of his nine-year-old twins, Sasha and Tristan, shouting: “Come on, Chris! Keep fighting.”

In the second section of the Instagram caption, Hemsworth explained why his son called him by his name rather than “Daddy” by writing, “Ps if you’re wondering why my son calls me Chris, it’s because that I’m her best friend and real friends aren’t called dad.”
