McDonald’s launches £2.49 ‘best burger ever’ for the first time in the UK

It’s been a big month for McDonald’s fans as an iconic fast food chain relaunched the McRib after almost a decade of absence.

And now, Golden Arches fans have even more reason to be excited, as they’ve revealed a brand new burger.

The Chilli Double Cheeseburger will be available in all McDonald’s across the UK and Ireland on Wednesday 6 November.

The brand new offering features two 100% British and Irish beef patties, two slices of cheese, onions, jalapenos, pickles and spicy relish, all in a soft, toasted bun.

At just £2.49, McDonald’s says it will ‘delight the taste buds without breaking the bank’.

The burger has never been seen before in the UK, although fans in South Africa might recognize it as it features on menus there.

And South African McDonald’s fans have given it rave reviews. An X user who managed to get her hands on the burger wrote: “McDonald’s Double Chili Cheese is hands down the best burger ever.”

In fact, the only complaint X’s reviewers seemed to have was that it wasn’t big enough.

The Chilli Double Cheeseburger is part of the relaunched Saver menu, which has been revamped to now include small soft drinks and small milkshakes, as well as other fan favorites.

Prices start from just £1.19, meaning you can enjoy a McDonald’s treat without spending too much.

McDonald’s economy menu now includes:

  • Burger – £1.19
  • Cheeseburger – £1.39
  • Double Cheeseburger – £2.29
  • Chicken Mayo – £1.39
  • Small fries – £1.19
  • Mini-Core McFlurry – £1.29
  • Double Chilli Cheeseburger – £2.49
  • Small milkshake – £1.99
  • Small drinks – £1.19
  • American – £1.39
  • White coffee – £1.39

Maccie’s has been delighting fans with new launches recently. In addition to the beloved McRib, they also added a new addition to their breakfast menu: mini hash browns.

That’s right, you can now get hash browns in a 20-count size to throw in your mouth and eat.

Available in single servings (that’s five for £1.49) or in shareboxes (15 for £2.99), they became available to customers from October 16.

McDonald’s said: “Perfect for those who love the classic McDonald’s Hash Brown, these little delights bring the same golden crunch and fluffy potato goodness in a new and fun style.

“Each Mini Hash Brown is designed to deliver the same irresistible crunchy exterior and soft, chewy interior we all love. »
