“I had a good feeling and honestly it was pretty amazing to be a part of both series,” he added.

The break during the team’s final game of the weekend definitely helped things sink in. Dodgers pitcher Blake Treinen said he talked to his wife about Wednesday’s matchup and joked that it might be the most anticipated matchup in all of sports. The past ten years.

“It’s pretty cool to be part of a market where the biggest market on the East Coast is up against the biggest market on the West Coast,” Treinen said. “This has to be one of the greatest matchups any sports fan could ask for, and being a part of it is even more incredible to play in.”

For some, inclusion is difficult to even understand. Although Dodgers starter Tyler Glasnow will miss the series due to injury, he said his inner child is “going crazy right now” while watching the team he grew up growing up playing in the World Series against New York. On the other hand, Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe said he couldn’t believe the situation his younger self was in.

Any headline would say “Yankees vs. Seeing the Dodgers” would attract plenty of attention in the United States, but this year comes with a bigger opportunity for spectators thanks to the Dodgers’ Japanese pitcher Shohei Ohtani and pitcher Yoshinobo Yamamoto.

“I think this will be a global World Series. “I still stand by the fact that more eyes will be watching this series than any other World Series,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said.

Whoever wins will certainly contribute to a long-established legacy. The Yankees continue their MLB-record 27 World Series wins, while the Dodgers will try to become the sixth team with at least eight championships.

“These are two strong teams, the most historic franchises and probably the greatest teams in MLB right now,” Yankees outfielder Alex Verdugo said. “This is a great matchup and it’s going to be a lot of fun for everyone involved.”
