Kitchener Rangers defenseman Cameron Reid received a “B” grade and Quinn Beauchesne a “C.” Goaltender Jack Ivankovic received a “B”, but you can absolutely make the case that he’s an A-rated prospect. He’s a special goaltender.

Porter Martone and Michael Misa have had incredible debuts, quickly throwing their hats into the ring to battle for the top overall spot in 2025. This event will be a great opportunity for scouts to witness how these two- there in particular will play against the United States Under-18s. National Team Development Program.

This team plays against NCAA competitors throughout the season and its players have been playing with each other for two years. This experience should, in theory, make them a more structured team, meaning it will be harder to find space and time to play.

On an interesting note, Martone and Aitcheson will be teammates for a few games after they had a fairly heated altercation on October 12 during the Brampton vs. Barrie game, which resulted in Aitcheson suspended for two matches.

Aitcheson isn’t the only player on the team to be suspended this season.

Steelheads Goalie Jack Ivankovic decided to drop the gloves on a rare goalkeeper struggle with Niagara IceDogs goaltender Owen Flores returning October 6. Both goalkeepers were suspended for four games because it was a fight with a goalie and because their fight was the second during stoppage of play.

As we get closer to the two game dates in late November, we’ll get a glimpse of what fans can expect to see from the OHL stars on the CHL team.
