Halifax Regional Police have charged a fourth person in connection with the homicide of 16-year-old Devon Sinclair Marsman.

Marsman was last seen on February 24, 2022 in the Spryfield area of Halifax and was reported missing on March 4, 2022.

Police initially said there were no indications to suggest Marsman was the victim of foul play. But almost eight months later, police publicly said they were considering Marsman’s disappearance is suspicious.

Police announced last month that his body had been found and that two people had been charged. A third person was charged later that month.

In a statement released Saturday, police say a fourth person, Chelsey Herritt, 26, turned herself in to police Thursday evening. She was charged with accessory after the fact to murder and indignity to human remains.

Herritt will appear in Halifax provincial court on Monday.

Police say they believe some people with information about the case did not tell police. They are urging people to come forward.
