Prescott: Two people face charges for flashing an imitation gun on the highway. 401 during a road rage incident

Two people are facing charges after a “high-risk” traffic stop on Highway 401 near Prescott, according to provincial police.

Ontario Provincial Police said reports of a “road rage incident” came in shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday.

One of the occupants of the suspect vehicle allegedly brandished a handgun at the other driver. Officers located and arrested the suspects while they were still on the highway.

An 18-year-old man from Brampton and a 20-year-old man from Caledon have been charged with possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Both were later released and will appear in court in November in Brockville.
