Road closures in Surrey following fatal pedestrian collision





SURREY RCMP are advising the public of road closures following a fatal collision on 128th Street and 76th Avenue.

On Sunday, October 27 at approximately 2:45 p.m., police received a call of a vehicle collision in the 7600 block of 128th Street involving a pedestrian. Despite rescue efforts, one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Surrey RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) is currently on scene and the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) has been called. The investigation is in its early stages and investigators are working to identify all factors leading to this death.

Currently, 128th Street is closed north and southbound between 76th Avenue and 76A Avenue. Traffic in surrounding areas has been disrupted and drivers can expect significant delays. The closure will remain in effect indefinitely while investigators examine the scene.
