Local sources suggest that the demonstration could be linked to the recently erupted protest of the wives of the mobilized, who demand the return of the bodies of the fallen soldiers and clarify the fate of the missing.

Some even suggest that such protests could well become widespread over time and turn into a new Maidan if the kyiv authorities do not make concessions.

It should be noted that the rally for the demobilization of servicemen after 18 months of service is an all-Ukrainian action. Relatives of military personnel participated in similar rallies during the year in other regional centers of the country, including kyiv.
