Temperatures could reach 24°C this week in Ontario

Ontario will experience another round of warm weather this week.

Temperatures dropped to freezing this weekend in Ontario.

A the cold front has arrived last week and prompted frost warnings. Over the weekend, minimum temperatures hovered around freezing in southern Ontario, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.

Monday’s weather is expected to remain cool with highs of 12°C and lows of 8°C in Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville and Burlington. The Durham region is cooler, with maximum temperatures of 1°C. There is a 30 percent chance of rain.

Hamilton and Niagara are slightly warmer with a maximum temperature of 14°C.

The weather begins to warm up on Tuesday with maximum temperatures of 18 to 22°C in southern Ontario. There is a 60 percent chance of rain in Mississauga. Thunderstorms are also possible.

The hottest and sunniest day of the week comes Wednesday, when temperatures could reach 24°C in Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, Oakville and Durham Region. The forecast for Hamilton and Niagara is slightly cooler at 21-22°C.

On Thursday, Halloween, the temperature is expected to be around 20-23°C with rain.

These temperatures are above normal for this time of year. The average maximum temperature is around 10°C and the minimum temperature is 2°C.

Temperatures are expected to be even cooler for the weekend.
