Brian Kelly and the No. 16 ranked LSU Tigers will face the Alabama Crimson Tide on Nov. 9 in a prime-time showdown in Death Valley.

LSU will bring a 14-game winning streak to Tiger Stadium — the third-longest streak in the FBS — into the game against Alabama. The Tigers are 4-0 at home this year after going 7-0 at Tiger Stadium in 2023.

The game against Alabama is the first of three home games for the Tigers during the month of November. After traveling to face Florida on November 16, LSU closes out the 2024 regular season by hosting Vanderbilt on November 23 and Oklahoma on November 30.

LSU is currently 6-2 overall and 3-1 in league play. The Tigers are ranked 16th in both national polls.

A look at the start time, revealed by the Southeastern Conference on Monday, and game information:

Brian Kelly and Co. are coming off a Week 9 loss to the Texas A&M Aggies, but will have an open date this weekend before facing Alabama on November 9.

Here’s what Kelly said after the loss to the Aggies:

Mistakes plague Bayou Bengals:

“I mean, we lost our margin, didn’t we? We have no margin for error. We need to go back and look at some of the things I just talked about, right? We need to establish balance within the offense. We have to be able to handle the quarterback running. The stupidity of the basket tricks, it must stop. This is simply ridiculous. We will clean this up as soon as possible. But these two things in particular.”

Tale of Two Halves: Inability to Adjust Defensively

“We played such good defense. In the first half, it was so good to see our defense play. And then we turn to a running quarterback, and it gets away from us. So we know what we need to improve on that. And then we know what we need to continue to work on from an offensive point of view. We have to establish some balance so that (quarterback) Garrett (Nussmeier) doesn’t try to play every turnover. And that’s what we’re going to work on.

Turnovers plummet for the Tigers:

“These were interceptions that led to points and it’s easy to highlight them as important moments of the game, but we had the opportunity to rally on defense and we couldn’t do it. We can’t not making a living with 33 yards rushing We honestly need to help Garrett. We need to give him a more balanced offense. He can’t be that guy that has to throw for 365 yards. We can go all night and gang up on Garrett Nussmeier if we want, but the reality is we need to put him in a better situation and get more balance on offense.

Lack of playbook diversity:

“It was disappointing. I’m disappointed. I know Brad Davis, Joe Sloan and Frank Wilson are disappointed. This is not what we expected. We spent a lot of time on our running game. We think we should be better there. We thought we made the progress we needed against a good Arkansas front and we just didn’t see that come to fruition tonight. It’s hard for me to sit here right now and give you a detailed assessment of what happened, but we haven’t had the kind of production that would keep Garrett Nussmeier from standing on his damn head to the quarterback position and play. He feels like he has to. I get it, he’s going to be the guy we all blame. I just don’t think we give him enough balance within the offense and that leaves him vulnerable because he has to do so much.

Back to the drawing board:

“We have to be really good at certain things, and that’s what we do, and let’s be really good at it. We have the week off. We’re going to clean up some things. We have a good football team. Tonight was a bad half of football for us. And we will go back to working on ourselves and prepare ourselves to play better football.
