Fashion emergency!

Designer Bach Mai — whose looks have been worn by Kate Beckinsale, Venus Williams, Heidi Klum and ballerina Misty Copeland — was released from the hospital Monday to attend tonight’s CFDA Fashion Awards.

We hear he’ll be bringing “Charlie’s Angels” actress Lucy Liu as his date.

Mai was hospitalized Sunday evening after returning from Korea where he was working on looks as part of an innovation grant awarded to him by the CFDA and Genesis House AAPI Design.

A source tells us he was injured in a crowded bar while overseas and cut his leg below the knee.

“Bach had a night off and went sightseeing and went to a crowded bar,” the insider said. “It was completely packed and he walked into something. He couldn’t see and doesn’t even know what it was. He traveled the next few days and returned to New York and discovered he had an infection.

Mai was held in hospital overnight on Sunday and received antibiotics through an intravenous drip.

The awards recognize the best in fashion of the year and will take place at the Natural History Museum. Erykah Badu is expected to win the Fashion Icon Award and Michael Kors, photographer Annie Leibovitz and Vogue’s Hamish Bowles will also be honored.

We learn that Mai and Liu will be seated at Asian American philanthropist Yao King’s first-ever AAPI Emerging Designers table, alongside fellow honorees Dauphinette designer Olivia Cheng and Grace Ling.
