Two people arrested after stabbing and bear spraying incident in Saskatoon

Two people have been arrested following a stabbing and bear spraying incident in Saskatoon.

Shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a report of a man stabbed in the 300 block of Avenue R South, the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) said in a news release.

Police later discovered that a group of people had also been bear sprayed following an altercation that resulted in stabbings.

Following an investigation, police arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with the bear spray incident. He faces assault charges.

An 18-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the stabbing. She faces charges related to assault.

Police said the stabbing victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
